Kaj Munk
Portrait of the famous Danish poet Kaj Munk
This portrait was painted in 1944 by heart by Poul Rytter after Kaj Munk was murdered by the Germans.
On January 4, 1944, Munk was taken from his home by the Gestapo and shot at Hørbylunde on the road to Silkeborg.
The original has been lost.
