Notice the dark bird in the background as a symbol of bombers.Poul Rytter and his wife Magny Rytter were themselves members of the Danish resistance movement during the Great War 1940-45 and had to go underground in the autumn of 1944 till the end of the war. 98x68 cm, cement

'Vedersø Mill' Oil on hardboard, 1938, 54x44 cmThis mill was in Vedersø not far from the Church, where the poet Kaj Munk worked. It was replaced by a motor mill and is not more to be seen. This is typical for his pre-war colorful paintings. During the war this changed into darker tones.
